cicada killers

These things are huge wasps that prey on cicadas, which they are all carrying back to their nest in a big swarm. We love watching documentaries about bugs and stuff. There are so many weird creatures out there. The background is taken from a Japanese woodblock pattern and covers the entire front and back of the shirt.

This design utilizes a boldly colored halftone print for the cicada killers, along with a water-based belt print of the flower pattern, close in tone to the color of the shirt.
